The 2025 American Music Awards nominations have been announced, showcasing a diverse and vibrant music scene. Kendrick Lamar leads with 10 nominations, following a landmark year including a No. 1 album ‘GNX’, a viral rap feud win, and a Super Bowl Halftime performance. Post Malone trails with eight nods, recognized across both country and pop categories. Rising stars Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey each secured seven nominations, highlighting their broad appeal and impactful releases this year.

The awards, determined entirely by fan votes, reflect data from March 22, 2024, to March 20, 2025, including streaming, sales, airplay, and touring metrics. Artists such as Taylor Swift, SZA, Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga also earned six nominations each.

Chappell Roan’s blend of pop and cultural relevance, and Shaboozey’s crossover between hip-hop and country, signal a shift towards genre fluidity. Major categories like Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year include a mix of mainstream icons and fresh talent.

Voting is open on VoteAMAs.com and Instagram, with winners announced during the live broadcast on May 26, hosted by Jennifer Lopez from Las Vegas. The show airs on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
