BABYMONSTER Focuses on Music and World Tour Over Brand Collaborations
BABYMONSTER, a rising K-pop girl group under YG Entertainment, has chosen to temporarily decline multiple offers from global luxury brands. This decision aligns with the philosophy of YG Entertainment’s chief producer, Yang Hyun Suk, who emphasizes that the group should focus primarily on music rather than external promotions. The management team aims to preserve the energy and creative potential of the group, ensuring that members—some of whom are underage—receive proper care and attention while maintaining a high standard of performance. BABYMONSTER recently released their mini-album CHOOM on May 4th, achieving impressive milestones such as topping the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, securing number one on album charts in 19 regions, and breaking their own first-day sales record on Hanteo Chart with 387,871 copies sold. The group is preparing for an expansive world tour across Asia and Oceania, including major cities like Manila, Bangkok, Sydney, and Osaka, where they will make a rapid dome debut. This strategy prioritizes artistic growth and stage performance over luxury brand exposure, highlighting YG Entertainment’s commitment to nurturing their talent and global influence in the music industry.
