Two Friends From Chorley Join Simon Cowell’s New Boyband ‘December 10’
Danny Bretherton and Josh Olliver, two 17-year-olds from Chorley, have become part of a new boyband called December 10, formed by Simon Cowell on his Netflix show, ‘Simon Cowell: The Next Act’. The band, consisting of seven members, was handpicked by Cowell and has already made waves with their debut single ‘Run My Way’ and sold-out tour dates. Their families are incredibly proud, with Olliver sharing that their relatives are going to wear T-shirts with the phrase ‘I’m Josh’s mum’ during the tour. Interestingly, both Bretherton and Olliver auditioned for the band in Liverpool, unaware that they were both attending the same audition. They once ran a car-washing business in their hometown and have shared stories of Chorley with their bandmates. Despite their rising fame, the band members, who play 14 different instruments between them, remain grounded, citing Cowell as a fatherly figure. With a successful debut and growing popularity, December 10 is on track to become the next big sensation, with their upcoming tour dates at the O2 Academy in Manchester.
