Brit Awards Relocate to Manchester for 2026 and 2027 Ceremonies

The decision was described as a ‘bold leap’ by Dr Jo Twist, CEO of the BPI (the British music industry body), who emphasized Manchester’s rich musical heritage and strong grassroots scene. Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham hailed the news as a ‘massive coup’ and promised the city would showcase its musical legacy and support for the event. The Brit Awards have previously been held at London’s O2 Arena for the past 15 years, and the relocation marks a new chapter for the ceremony. Manchester has a strong connection to the awards, with local acts like Take That, Robbie Williams, Simply Red, Elbow, and The 1975 all having won or been nominated.
