BTS return to the stage in Seoul with renewed energy and unity
BTS have made a powerful return to the stage with a live concert streamed worldwide from Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, attracting an audience of 100,000 fans and millions more via Netflix. It marked their first performance together in four years, following each member’s completion of South Korea’s compulsory military service. The concert also served as the debut of their new album *Arirang*, an inventive project blending the melody and spirit of a 600-year-old Korean folk song with modern electronic dance music. Songs such as *Body to Body*, *Hooligan*, *FYA*, and *Swim* demonstrated the group’s musical evolution, fusing tradition and innovation while celebrating their collective identity.
Throughout the night, BTS exhibited their signature charisma and unity, proving that their time apart had not diminished their chemistry. Highlights included a spirited rendition of *Butter*, playful interactions between members, and heartfelt thanks from Suga to their home city. The show closed with *Mikrokosmos*, as thousands of purple lights illuminated the crowd, symbolising the enduring connection between BTS and their fans. Confident, emotional, and creatively recharged, the performance marked the beginning of a new chapter for one of the world’s most influential pop groups.
