BTS, the global K-pop sensation, officially marks their return to the world stage with the launch of their ‘ARIRANG’ world tour this April 9, 2026. Following a three-year break for mandatory military service, the seven-member group opened their tour with a concert in Goyang, South Korea, after their comeback performance at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square last month. The new album ‘ARIRANG,’ which celebrates Korea’s cultural heritage and identity, topped the Billboard 200 chart for two consecutive weeks and achieved over 99 million official streams in the United States during its first week of release. The tour will take the band to 34 cities across Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, and Australia, amounting to 82 scheduled concerts that will continue into March 2027. In Southeast Asia, fans in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines can expect performances later this year. Ticket sales have been exceptional, with all shows in South Korea, North America, and Europe selling out within hours of release. Industry observers anticipate record-breaking revenues, possibly reaching 2.7 trillion won (around $1.8 billion), putting BTS on par with some of the highest-grossing tours in music history such as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres. BTS’s fifth studio album represents not just their musical evolution but also their message of cultural pride, diversity, and unity, reflecting RM’s statement that K-pop thrives by blending global influences while staying true to Korean roots.
