Glastonbury Festival announces dates for 2027 event

The Glastonbury Festival has revealed the dates for its 2027 edition, which will take place between June 23 and June 27. Although 2026 was previously announced as a fallow year, the event will return to Worthy Farm in 2027 after a break for the land’s recovery and natural regeneration. The festival’s last official fallow year occurred in 2018, but the event was forced to cancel two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers emphasized the importance of the fallow years to allow the environment to rest and recover. In addition, the break offers a much-needed respite for the organizers and the local community in Pilton. No official ticket details will be provided until mid-2026, and the lineup for the 2027 festival will be announced in early 2027. To kick off preparations, festival organizers are holding a prize draw for the first 25 tickets to the 2027 event, with proceeds benefiting Doctors Without Borders (MSF UK). This prize draw is open now and will close on November 7 this year.
