Dolly Parton reassures fans about her health following concerns

Dolly Parton, the 79-year-old legendary singer, addressed public concerns about her health after her sister Freida Parton posted on social media asking for prayers for Dolly. Clarifying her condition in a two-minute video, Dolly emphasized that she is not seriously ill and joked that she ‘ain’t dead yet.’ She explained that while she has been managing some health challenges, nothing is life-threatening. Earlier, Dolly postponed her first Las Vegas residency in 32 years, citing health reasons and rescheduled the six shows originally planned for December to next September. She also reflected on personal struggles following the illness and eventual passing of her husband Carl Dean, noting she had neglected her own health for some time. Dolly reassured fans that she is receiving medical care at Vanderbilt and appreciated the prayers and concern from her supporters. She concluded her message in her characteristic humor, underlining that she remains active and committed to her work despite minor health setbacks.
