Birmingham Hosts Exhibitions Honouring Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath Legacy

Two exhibitions in Birmingham are set to honour Ozzy Osbourne and the legendary rock band Black Sabbath. Organised to coincide with the band’s final reunion show in July, the exhibitions serve as a tribute to the group’s origins and its global impact. Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife, stated that the events are a gesture of gratitude to the city and its fans, highlighting Ozzy’s journey from a working-class background in Aston to international fame.

The first exhibition, titled ‘Working Class Hero’, will be hosted at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery from June 25 to September 28. It will feature prestigious memorabilia including Grammy Awards, a star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and numerous platinum and gold records. Photos and videos will chronicle Ozzy’s evolution into a global rock figure.

A second exhibit in Victoria Square will showcase Black Sabbath’s archive and album artwork. A 120-foot mural by Mr Murals, depicting all four original members—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—has been created on Navigation Street. The initiative, supported by Central BID Birmingham and Birmingham Museums Trust, is seen as a celebration of the city’s cultural influence and musical heritage.
