Pulp Reveal Themselves as Glastonbury’s ‘Mystery Band’

At Glastonbury, the identity of the band billed as ‘Patchwork’ remained a mystery until they took the stage. Fans were skeptical about the rumors, but when Jarvis Cocker appeared, it was clear: it was Pulp. The band, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1995 Pyramid Stage performance, played new tracks from their latest album ‘More!’ and classic hits like ‘Common People,’ ‘Babies,’ and ‘Misfits.’ Cocker’s eccentric stage presence remained as captivating as ever, while the crowd, including celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo and Zoe Ball, was ecstatic. The performance was a nostalgic nod to the band’s rise to fame in the ’90s, and it also revealed the band’s continued relevance in today’s music scene. They also performed the beloved ‘Something Changed’ and ended the show with ‘Common People,’ topped off by a Red Arrows flypast. Despite the mystery around their identity before the show, their long-awaited return to Glastonbury was a massive success, providing both a sense of nostalgia and the excitement of new music.
