Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has ventured into the world of comics by launching a new cyberpunk graphic novel titled *Appetite For Destruction*, developed in collaboration with Sumerian Comics. The project borrows its name from the band’s 1987 debut album but reimagines it in a futuristic, dystopian narrative. Co-written by Rose and Sumerian co-founder Nathan Yocum, the story combines rock rebellion with cyberpunk themes. Yocum described it as a ‘neon-noir fever dream’ that merges the energy of a rock anthem with a vision of survival-driven defiance.

The story is set in Paradise City, envisioned here as a neon-lit society where humans and robots are meant to coexist. Axl himself features as a half-human, half-robot protagonist who lives on the margins of this fractured world. He finds brief escape in the music of a lounge singer, but when she mysteriously disappears, his search to uncover the truth draws him into a dangerous conspiracy with potentially world-changing implications.

The visual team includes artist Frank Mazzoli, colorist Antonio Antro, and letterer Micah Myers. The hardcover edition spans 108 pages and is currently available for pre-order ahead of a January 2026 release. Multiple purchase packages are offered, ranging from the standard edition priced at $39.99 to deluxe bundles with collectibles such as a signed bookplate, figurine, and coin.

At the same time, Guns N’ Roses remain active on the live circuit. They are about to begin their South American tour in Costa Rica, following a busy summer of performances that included Wembley Stadium in London and Villa Park in Birmingham. Rose also made headlines recently when Zak Starkey publicly urged him to return a master recording of a track said to be potentially worth $2 million for charity.
