Harry Styles makes surprise cameo in audience during Ryan Gosling’s SNL monologue

During Ryan Gosling’s hosting stint on Saturday Night Live on 7 March, the actor was interrupted in a humorous way by Harry Styles, who appeared in the front row of the audience. Gosling, 45, kicked off his monologue by praising the early March weather in New York City, only to spot the 32-year-old pop star and exclaim, ‘Is that Harry Styles? What are you doing here, man?’ The audience erupted as the camera revealed Styles wearing a casual T-shirt featuring a smiley face and the words ‘I hate you.’ Styles explained that he was there to observe and prepare for his own turn as host and musical guest the following week on 14 March. Gosling feigned flustered surprise, joking that he wished someone had informed him and later quipped about Styles’ ‘coolness’ becoming an issue when the cameras kept cutting to him. To promote the record, Styles has announced the Together, Together tour, featuring 12 nights at London’s Wembley Stadium—potentially a record for the venue—and additional shows in cities including Amsterdam, New York, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Sydney. He also performed a one-off gig at Manchester’s Co-Op Live, now available to stream on Netflix.
