Limited Edition Postcards Reveal First Glimpse of Upcoming Beatles Film Series

A student at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) has discovered one of a limited edition series of postcards promoting four upcoming films about the Beatles. The postcards, totaling 1,000, feature each member of the band and were hidden at iconic Beatles locations in Liverpool, as well as in New York, Tokyo, and Hamburg. LIPA received 80 of these postcards, which were hidden across the campus for students to find. Third-year acting student Louis Kuye found the ‘Paul’ postcard and plans to have it signed by Sir Paul McCartney during graduation, a traditional rite of passage at LIPA. The postcards serve as promotion for Sam Mendes’ new quadrilogy on the Beatles, starring Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. The films, first announced in April, will present the story of the Beatles from the perspective of each individual band member. LIPA was founded in 1996 by Mark Featherstone-Witty and Sir Paul McCartney, and is located on the former site of the Liverpool Institute for Boys. The postcard initiative encouraged students to search and share their finds on social media, adding excitement to the campus and anticipation for the upcoming films.
