Kings of Leon Cancel European Tour After Lead Singer’s Injury

American rock band Kings of Leon have announced the cancellation of their upcoming UK and European tour dates scheduled for June and July 2025. The decision comes after lead singer Caleb Followill suffered a severe heel injury in a ‘freak’ accident while playing with his children. The injury required emergency surgery in Nashville, and medical advice has mandated that Followill avoid travel and performances for at least eight weeks.

The band expressed their disappointment, noting that they had been eagerly preparing for the tour and had plans to debut new material from recent studio sessions. Scheduled performances included shows at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields and a headline slot at the Lytham Festival in Lancashire. Organizers of these events have confirmed that ticket holders will receive full refunds. The Lytham Festival has also announced a reduction in its duration by one day due to the band’s cancellation and the inability to secure a replacement act at short notice.

Kings of Leon, known for hits like ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody,’ conveyed their regrets to fans and emphasized their commitment to returning to the stage once Followill has fully recovered. The band remains optimistic about sharing their new music in the future.
