HUNTR/X to Perform Live for the First Time on The Tonight Show
The singing voices behind Netflix’s global animated hit *KPop Demon Hunters* are preparing for their first-ever live television performance. The trio, consisting of Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—who sing in the roles of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey in the film—will appear on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon* on October 7. Performing collectively as HUNTR/X, they will debut the breakout single ‘Golden,’ which has already achieved historic milestones in the global music industry.
The song’s success is remarkable: ‘Golden’ became the first female K-pop single to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, maintaining the top spot for six weeks, and also dominated the Billboard Global 200 for ten weeks. The soundtrack as a whole has become the year’s best-selling movie soundtrack, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 Soundtrack chart.
*KPop Demon Hunters* itself has become a cultural phenomenon on Netflix. It currently holds the record as the platform’s most-viewed film of all time, amassing over 325 million global views and maintaining a strong presence on Netflix’s Top 10 list for 14 consecutive weeks. In addition to their performance, the singers will join Jimmy Fallon on the iconic guest couch for an interview. The same episode will also feature Jennifer Lopez as another guest star.
Adding to the buzz, Rei Ami recently revealed that *KPop Demon Hunters* is also partnering with *Fortnite*, establishing a footprint in the gaming world. The announcement solidifies the film and its music as a wide-reaching cultural force, blurring lines between cinema, pop music, and interactive entertainment.
