KPop Demon Hunters singers to perform Grammy-winning hit at BAFTA ceremony

The vocal stars behind the hit soundtrack of Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, Ejae (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey), are set to perform ‘Golden’ at the BAFTAs, marking their first live show outside the US. ‘Golden’ made history as the first K-pop song to win a Grammy and had previously won awards at the Golden Globes. Despite its global success and record-breaking streaming numbers—over 500 million streams since June 2025—the film itself is ineligible for BAFTA awards because it was released on Netflix rather than in UK cinemas. Emma Baehr, BAFTA’s executive director, praised the film’s worldwide impact and expressed excitement about the performers bringing K-pop energy to the ceremony. The singing trio provided the voices for the film’s soundtrack, while the characters’ spoken lines were voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo. The BAFTA event will take place on 22 February at London’s Royal Festival Hall, featuring stars like Timothée Chalamet, Jessie Buckley, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Stone, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Hudson, Teyana Taylor, and Paul Mescal as nominees. The performance highlights the growing global influence of K-pop and the cultural impact of streaming platforms on international film and music recognition.
