Lady Gaga forced to cancel Montreal concert due to worsening respiratory infection
Lady Gaga was forced to cancel her Montreal concert on 6th April 2026, just hours before she was due to take the stage, citing a worsening respiratory infection. The 40-year-old Grammy-winning singer took to her Instagram to apologise to her fans, explaining that her doctor had strongly advised against performing as her illness had taken a turn for the worse. This is the third show she was set to perform in Montreal, following two successful performances earlier in the week. The announcement was made just three hours before showtime, leaving fans disappointed. Although Lady Gaga expressed her heartbreak over having to cancel the show, she did not provide further details regarding a rescheduled performance or refunds. Gaga’s Mayhem Ball Tour, which began in July 2025, is nearing its end after nearly 86 shows. She also previously had to cancel a Miami concert in September 2025 due to vocal strain. Despite the setbacks, she is scheduled to perform next in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and finish her tour in New York City on 13th April 2026. Fans took to social media to express their support for the singer’s decision to prioritise her health.
