Lewis Capaldi to Headline Roundhay Festival in Leeds in 2026

Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi has been announced as the first headliner for the upcoming Roundhay Festival in Leeds, set for July 4, 2026. The new festival, in collaboration with Leeds City Council, will be held at Roundhay Park, one of the largest city parks in Europe. Capaldi, aged 28, has achieved great success with six UK number one singles, including ‘Before You Go’ and ‘Pointless’, as well as two number one albums. This announcement follows his return to live performances after a break following his 2023 Glastonbury set. Capaldi’s performance in Leeds is expected to draw large crowds and boost the local economy. He is also set to perform at British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 11, 2026, continuing his comeback tour. The festival at Roundhay Park, which has hosted past performances by superstars like Madonna and The Rolling Stones, aims to raise Leeds’ profile on the international stage. With a capacity of up to 69,999 people, the park previously hosted Ed Sheeran in 2019, when the audience limit was temporarily increased to 80,000.
