Lindelani Mkhize Addresses Internal Dispute Amid Joyous Celebration 30/30 Tour Plans

Amid an ongoing legal dispute, Lindelani Mkhize, co-founder of the renowned gospel group Joyous Celebration, has issued a public apology, acknowledging that internal conflicts should not have been made public. Mkhize reflected on the situation in an exclusive interview, expressing regret over how matters were handled and emphasising that the Joyous brand is bigger than any internal disagreements. The legal tensions stem from allegations of financial misconduct by long-time partners Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba, including claims of mismanagement and unauthorised personal expenditures, which Mkhize denies. Despite these challenges, he assures that the group’s highly anticipated 30/30 anniversary tour will continue as planned, starting in Johannesburg and eventually covering all nine provinces. Rehearsals have been ongoing, and the production will feature the current cast alongside alumni and friends of the group. Mkhize stressed the importance of resilience, highlighting that disputes are a natural occurrence in long-standing partnerships and expressed hope that the outcome of the legal proceedings will safeguard the reputation and legacy of Joyous Celebration, which belongs to the fans and the nation rather than the individuals involved.
