In her letter to the Brighton and Hove City Council, Berry raised concerns about the potential impact on survivors of sexual assault and the broader community. Although Manson was cleared of allegations in a US investigation earlier this year, which was unable to gather enough evidence or charge him, the protests led to significant public pressure. Critics of the cancellation pointed out that Manson had not been found guilty, and some viewed the call for cancellation as a form of censorship. The singer has denied the accusations and maintains his innocence. While the Brighton concert is no longer scheduled, Manson’s UK tour will continue with other dates still available for ticket sales.
