Miley Cyrus Announces Engagement to Musician Maxx Morando After Four Years Together

Miley Cyrus has officially confirmed her engagement to musician Maxx Morando, her partner of four years. The pop star, who has won three Grammy Awards, was spotted wearing a gold and diamond ring at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash.’ During an interview with ‘Good Morning America,’ the 33-year-old revealed that Morando proposed while they were on a recent trip to Asia, and she expressed genuine surprise at the gesture. Cyrus previously married Australian actor Liam Hemsworth in 2018 after a decade-long relationship, but the couple divorced in 2019. She first met Morando, a 27-year-old drummer for the LA-based band Liily, through a blind date. Liily also performed at NBC’s Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in 2022, alongside artists including Dolly Parton and David Byrne. Cyrus highlighted the personal growth she has experienced during their relationship and praised Morando for being supportive. Her latest music, including the song ‘Dream as One,’ is featured in the new ‘Avatar’ film, though she has expressed no desire to tour due to the challenges of maintaining sobriety and mental health on the road. The announcement reflects a new chapter in the singer’s personal life alongside her ongoing musical career.
