Brenda Mtambo to Celebrate Grandmother Through Heritage and Gospel Music

Brenda Mtambo is preparing to stage ‘Amahubo Ka Gogo – The Live Experience,’ a heartfelt musical tribute to her late grandmother, the woman who raised her and profoundly influenced her life. The concert, scheduled for Johannesburg on 18 July and Durban on 15 August, promises a blend of traditional, spiritual, soul, and R&B performances, all deeply rooted in faith, heritage, and legacy. Mtambo explains that the show is designed to offer audiences a holistic experience, leaving them spiritually and emotionally fulfilled. Her grandmother, who passed away two years ago, played a pivotal role in her upbringing, nurturing her unique voice and personal growth. This tribute not only honours her grandmother’s memory but also preserves the hymns, prayers, and teachings that shaped her. Beyond the live performances, Mtambo is also set to release her first gospel album this year, inspired by the same hymns that feature in the concert. The album launch will coincide with the show, marking a significant milestone in her music career.
