Ozzy Osbourne has made a monumental return to the stage, reuniting with Black Sabbath for one final performance after battling health issues, including Parkinson’s disease. The highly anticipated ‘Back to the Beginning’ concert at Villa Park was promoted as the legendary heavy metal singer’s last gig. Osbourne, 76, started the show on a throne adorned with skulls, performing a solo set before being joined by his iconic bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward for the first time in 20 years. During the emotional event, Ozzy performed classic hits like ‘Mr. Crowley’ and ‘Crazy Train’ while encouraging the crowd to chant and go wild. The night also saw numerous rock and metal superstars such as Slayer, Metallica, and Guns ‘n’ Roses taking the stage. The event, designed by Osbourne’s wife Sharon, was meant to give him a chance to thank fans after having to cancel past tours due to health reasons. The proceeds from the event were donated to Parkinson’s charities, among others. As a symbol of their enduring influence, the band had recently been honored with the freedom of Birmingham.
