Hayley Williams Releases New Solo Album ‘Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party’ Featuring 17 Tracks and a New Bonus Song
Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, has officially released her new solo album titled ‘Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.’ The album compiles 17 tracks that she had previously shared throughout the summer, along with a new bonus song called ‘Parachute.’ This release is now available on streaming platforms, while physical copies will be launched on November 7 through Post Atlantic, Williams’ own label following the end of her 20-year contract with Atlantic Records, distributed by Secretly Distribution. Williams collaborated closely with Daniel James on playing, writing, and recording most of the instruments for the record, receiving further assistance from longtime collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard. Additionally, Jim-E Stack contributed to the track ‘True Believer.’ Prior to this album, Williams had debuted her solo career with ‘Petals for Armor’ in 2020 and followed with the EP ‘Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades’ the same year and ‘Flowers for Vases / Descansos’ in 2021, which she described as a prequel or detour relative to her previous work. In 2023, Paramore released their fifth studio album as a band, ‘This Is Why.’ Visual content accompanying the new album includes music videos for the title track and ‘Glum.’ This release marks a significant step in Williams’ solo career as she continues to explore personal storytelling through her music.
