Paris Jackson raises concerns over handling of Michael Jackson’s estate by executors

Paris Jackson has accused the executors of her late father Michael Jackson’s estate of using estate funds to publicly disparage her amid ongoing legal disputes. At 28, she, along with her brothers Prince and Bigi, is a beneficiary of the estate, now valued at over $2 billion. In July, Paris raised concerns about irregular payments and alleged mismanagement by executors John Branca and John McClain, claiming they skimmed money from the estate. The executors have denied these allegations. Court proceedings have involved numerous filings, with the co-executors submitting an 83-page status report dismissing Paris’s claims. In response, Paris argued that the litigation serves to damage her public image, noting that comments from estate attorney Jonathan Steinsapir were sexist and patronising. Paris’s legal team contends that attacks funded by her father’s estate money are intended to intimidate her, rather than addressing the case’s merits. Additionally, she has challenged Branca’s role in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic and denied involvement in the film. The dispute also involves requests for accounting of lavish fees paid to third-party firms and concerns about the management of hundreds of millions of dollars following Michael Jackson’s death.
