Portable Celebrates Birth of Son Amid Boxing Match Loss

Nigerian singer Portable has joyfully announced the birth of his son, Jamal Iremide, with his partner Omobewaji Ewatomi, popularly known as Bewaji. The news came on Friday through Bewaji’s Instagram post, where she shared her happiness over a safe delivery and introduced their newborn to fans. Portable also confirmed the happy news on his own social media, expressing gratitude to his partner and celebrating the expansion of his family. Interestingly, the birth coincided with the day Portable lost a celebrity boxing match to Carter Efe, who won by unanimous decision. Despite the loss in the ring, Portable emphasized that becoming a father again brought him more joy than winning a title. He humorously noted that while he hoped to win a belt in the fight, he ended up ‘carrying’ his child instead, highlighting that money can buy belts but not children. Portable shared that he was still participating in the boxing match while his wife went into labour, marking a special day for him with the arrival of another child. His message underscored the importance of family over fame or accolades.
