Thirteen Unreleased Beatles Tracks to Be Included in New Anthology Compilation

Thirteen previously unreleased Beatles tracks will be part of a new Anthology compilation, marking almost 30 years since the last release. The announcement follows a hint from Paul McCartney, who shared a set of images on Instagram featuring the numbers one to four. This new compilation includes rare demos, session recordings, outtakes, and live performances. Previous Anthology collections, released in the mid-90s, featured similar rare content, including demos and live performances. In addition to the new compilation, the Anthology book and documentary series will be remastered and made available for streaming on Disney+, including a new ninth episode featuring previously unseen footage of the Beatles during the creation of the original Anthology. Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer George Martin, has remastered Anthology 1, 2, and 3, and all four Anthology sets will be released as a box set in November. The compilation will also include new mixes of ‘Free As A Bird’ and ‘Real Love’ using John Lennon’s vocals, which were originally part of Anthology 1 and 2. Additionally, a special set of liner notes, including commentary from Beatles author Kevin Howlett and an introduction by Derek Taylor, will be included.
