Portishead Reunites for a Special Performance in Support of Together for Palestine

Portishead, the iconic British trip-hop band, has shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their reunion performance for the upcoming ‘Together for Palestine’ event. Although the band will not be able to attend the event in person, they recorded a special performance of their 1994 track ‘Roads’ with a string quartet. This one-off performance will be broadcast during the star-studded benefit show at OVO Arena Wembley on September 17, 2025, which is organized by Brian Eno and features other major artists such as Damon Albarn, Jamie xx, and Bastille. Geoff Barrow, one of the band’s founding members, shared photos and a message of solidarity on social media, expressing the band’s strong stance against the ongoing conflict in Palestine. The band’s participation underscores their commitment to raising awareness about the ongoing crisis. In addition to Portishead, other notable artists such as James Blake, Riz Ahmed, and Paloma Faith will also perform, alongside Palestinian artists. Portishead’s involvement marks their return to the stage after a brief hiatus, following their last live show in 2022 for War Child UK. Their fans will likely appreciate the band’s renewed efforts to raise awareness through music.
