Raye Recovers Stolen Songbooks Containing Material for Her Second Album

British singer Raye has announced that her songwriting notebooks, stolen during a car break-in last year, have been found intact. The theft had forced her to delay work on her second studio album, the follow-up to her acclaimed and multi-award-winning debut ‘My 21st Century Blues’. During a recent radio interview, Raye revealed that police had located her stolen vehicle several months ago and that all the contents, including her creative material, were untouched. The recovery marks an emotional end to a challenging chapter that briefly halted her musical plans. Raye explained that the experience was an emotional rollercoaster, emphasizing the relief of retrieving her work in its entirety. The rediscovered material is now expected to influence the still-unnamed second album, which is available for pre-order despite being incomplete. She recently released a new song, ‘Where Is My Husband?’, showcasing her blend of pop-funk, R&B, jazz, and dance influences. The artist also outlined a five-year personal and professional plan, intending to release her album in early 2026, go on tour with her sisters, and eventually begin a family. Raye, who made history at the Brit Awards by winning six prizes in one night, will kick off her next European tour, ‘This Tour May Contain New Music’, in January 2026, visiting the UK in February.
