Nathan Smith, son of Lil Jon, found dead after going missing in Georgia
Nathan Smith, also known as DJ Young Slade, the 27-year-old son of Grammy-winning rapper Lil Jon, is believed to have been found dead in Milton, Georgia, days after he went missing. Police reported that Smith left his home early Tuesday without his phone and was last seen under unusual circumstances. Authorities discovered a body in a nearby pond on Friday morning, which is believed to be Smith, although official confirmation is pending from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Milton Police Department stated there are currently no indications of foul play, but investigations will continue to determine the cause and circumstances of his death. Lil Jon and Smith’s mother, Nicole Smith, expressed heartbreak over the loss. Lil Jon described Nathan as a kind, thoughtful, and talented young man, highlighting his career as a music producer, artist, and NYU graduate. The two were often seen together publicly, including on an episode of Family Feud. Police had previously issued a missing person alert, noting concerns that Smith may have been disoriented and in need of assistance.
