Country Music Hall of Fame to Host Tribute Concert for Linda Ronstadt Featuring Trisha Yearwood and James Taylor

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host a tribute concert on July 22 in Nashville, Tennessee, honoring legendary singer Linda Ronstadt. Titled ‘Trisha Yearwood and Friends Celebrate Linda Ronstadt and Los Angeles Country-Rock,’ the sold-out event will feature performances by Trisha Yearwood, James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, and Patti Scialfa. The concert celebrates Ronstadt’s influential role in country rock, with hits like ‘Blue Bayou’ and ‘When Will I Be Loved’ defining her as a genre pioneer. This tribute coincides with the museum’s ongoing exhibit, ‘Western Edge: The Roots and Reverberations of Los Angeles Country-Rock,’ which explores the evolution of the genre during the 1960s and ’70s. Ronstadt, who retired from singing in 2011 after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and honored by the Kennedy Center in 2019. A biopic starring Selena Gomez is also in development. The exhibit and concert aim to highlight the collaborative spirit and enduring legacy of artists who shaped a new direction in American music by merging country with pop, rock, and folk influences.
