Trump Advisor Comments on ICE Presence During Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager for Donald Trump, stated in an interview with Benny Johnson that ICE agents will be present at the 2026 Super Bowl, where Bad Bunny is scheduled to perform the Halftime Show. Lewandowski emphasized that the current administration intends to enforce immigration laws everywhere, including public events like the Super Bowl, and that individuals in the U.S. illegally could face apprehension and deportation. He criticized the selection of Bad Bunny, describing it as ‘shameful’ and suggesting that U.S. events should promote inclusivity rather than separation. Bad Bunny, speaking to I-D magazine, noted that fear of ICE raids influenced his decision to avoid touring in the U.S., despite previous successful performances there. His 2026 Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour will take place internationally, excluding U.S. stops except for the Super Bowl performance. Apple Music and Bad Bunny’s representatives have not commented publicly. The discussion highlights ongoing tensions around immigration enforcement and public events, as well as concerns from artists regarding their safety and freedom to perform in the U.S.
