Remember Monday Covers ‘Húsavík’ Ahead of Eurovision Performance
Remember Monday, the UK’s Eurovision hopefuls, have covered ‘Húsavík (My Hometown)’, the iconic song from Will Ferrell’s movie ‘The Story Of Fire Saga’, just weeks before competing in Basel, Switzerland. The trio, who began singing together at school and later performed in West End productions, traveled to Iceland to film the cover, fulfilling a long-time dream. They visited the famous Elf Houses and sang alongside a choir of Icelandic schoolgirls featured at the 2021 Oscars. Their own song, ‘What The Hell Just Happened’, will represent the UK at Eurovision, with bookmakers predicting a mid-table finish. Passionate Eurovision fans, Remember Monday aim to help change the UK’s mixed reputation at the contest. Ahead of Eurovision, the BBC will air a special behind-the-scenes show featuring an interview with the band by Graham Norton. Meanwhile, BBC Radio 2 has announced its coverage team for the contest. Rehearsals have already begun, with participants preparing to travel to Switzerland in early May. Sweden’s KAJ is the current favorite to win. If successful, Sweden would surpass Ireland as the nation with the most Eurovision wins.
