The Musical and Spiritual Legacy of Sofia Gubaidulina

Sofia Gubaidulina, a Russian composer known for her modernist and deeply spiritual music, passed away at 93. Her works, influenced by her Russian Orthodox faith, as well as elements of Tatar and Jewish traditions, stood in contrast to Soviet ideology.
