Asake Talks About the Freedom Money Gives Him and How It Solves Most of His Problems
In a recent interview with indie filmmaker and podcaster Korty EO, Nigerian music star Asake discussed his love for money and how it plays a crucial role in his lifestyle. Asake explained that money doesn’t solve all his problems, but it does resolve about 80% of them. He described how it affords him the freedom to enjoy his flashy lifestyle, including his love for luxury cars and expensive jewelry. Despite spending a lot on high-end cars, Asake emphasized that he has five cars parked in Lagos, though he hasn’t lived in Nigeria for a year. Since his return in late 2025, Asake has been flaunting his wealth, including gifting his parents extravagant cars. His mother received a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon worth over 500 million naira, and his father was gifted a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser valued at over 200 million naira. The singer also added a Rolls-Royce and another G-Wagon to his collection. Asake shared that his journey to stardom began at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he studied Dramatic Arts and became a campus sensation. Now, 2026 is shaping up to be another successful year for him, with a new collaboration with Wizkid and the anticipation of his upcoming album.
