BBC Sounds explores Oasis’ lasting impact in new 10-part series hosted by Anais Gallagher

In celebration of Oasis’ reunion, BBC Sounds launches a 10-part series titled ‘Mad for Oasis’, hosted by Anais Gallagher, the daughter of Oasis’ Noel Gallagher. The series delves into the band’s profound influence on fans, with stories shared by devoted followers of the band. One notable contributor is Paul Fellows, an artist who was inspired by Oasis’ music to create artwork that raised funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, a cause close to his heart due to his son’s past medical care there. The series also features Karen from New Ross, Ireland, who describes how an Oasis song helped her reconnect with her mother during her battle with dementia. Anais Gallagher reflects on her personal connection to the band and the meaningful stories shared by listeners. The artwork for the series was created by Stanley Chow, a Manchester-based artist and Oasis fan. ‘Mad for Oasis’ is a BBC Local production and will be available on BBC Sounds starting July 1, 2025. This series provides an intimate look into the personal impact of Oasis’ music and its enduring legacy for many fans around the world.
