HYBE India Launches Auditions Across Major Cities to Discover Local Music Talent
HYBE, the global entertainment company behind the internationally acclaimed K-pop group BTS, has officially announced auditions across India through its local division, HYBE India. These auditions aim to discover aspiring singers, dancers, and performers from cities including Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Guwahati. HYBE India had previously established its headquarters in Mumbai in September last year, marking it as the company’s fifth international hub. The organisation has been actively engaging with Indian fans, notably through Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN: The Moments’ exhibition in Mumbai. The auditions will follow both online and offline formats, providing selected candidates with the opportunity to join HYBE’s rigorous training and production ecosystem. This initiative aligns with HYBE’s global ‘multi-home, multi-genre’ strategy, which focuses on discovering and nurturing culturally resonant artists. Indian talent has already begun making its mark in global music, with artists like Aria from X:IN, Sriya Lenka from BLACKSWAN, and Lara Raj from KATSEYE achieving international recognition. Through these auditions, HYBE India aims to cultivate the next generation of global music stars, giving Indian artists a chance to represent their country on the world stage. The move is expected to attract a significant turnout given India’s large talent pool and enthusiastic K-pop fan base.
