K-pop band BTS has denied reports suggesting their involvement in a Michael Jackson tribute album. The rumor was fueled by fan accounts that linked the band to a report from The Sun, which initially claimed that BTS was among several ‘superstar artists’ who would be recording new versions of Jackson’s songs for the album. According to these reports, BTS was allegedly set to record an unreleased track written by Michael Jackson at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland, where Jackson worked in 2006. However, BTS quickly clarified through a message on X (formerly Twitter) that they had not participated in any recording sessions at the studio in question and were not involved in the tribute album. The initial claim was later retracted by The Sun. Michael Jackson had spent time at Grouse Lodge Studios in 2006, reportedly working on a planned comeback after being acquitted of child abuse charges. However, the project was left unfinished after his passing in 2009. Despite the rumors, BTS has not expressed any official involvement in Jackson’s tribute album.
