Celine Dion has revealed plans for her first full-length concert series since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disorder. The French-Canadian singer, who disclosed her condition in 2022 and subsequently canceled a world tour, made an emotional return during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony. On her 58th birthday, Dion announced via Instagram that she would perform ten shows in Paris, describing it as the ‘best gift of my life.’ In a heartfelt message, she expressed gratitude to her fans for their support during her health struggles, noting that their encouragement has been invaluable. SPS is characterized by muscle rigidity, sensitivity to stimuli, and spasms, often making movement difficult. The disease affects more women than men and has no known cure, though treatment can help manage symptoms. Dion, known for hits like ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and ‘It’s All Coming Back To Me Now,’ said she feels excited and optimistic about the upcoming shows, even sharing that she has resumed singing and some dancing.
