Chappell Roan achieves first No. 1 with revived single ‘Pink Pony Club’

Chappell Roan has achieved her first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Adult Pop Airplay chart with ‘Pink Pony Club’, a song that originally debuted five years ago. While Roan has been actively promoting a newer single, ‘The Giver’, which has started to decline in airplay, it is ‘Pink Pony Club’—a track from her debut album ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’—that has seen unexpected success. This marks her first song to top a Billboard radio chart, and only her second to enter the top 10 of the Adult Pop Airplay chart, with the previous best being ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ which peaked at No. 9 in 2024. The resurgence of ‘Pink Pony Club’ followed Roan’s Grammy win for Best New Artist, where she performed the song live. That performance helped the track go viral, leading to increased streams, sales, and eventual radio promotion. Currently, the track is also performing well across other pop charts, ranking No. 2 on the Pop Airplay chart and No. 17 on the Adult Contemporary chart. This highlights the unpredictable nature of music success and the lasting power of a well-crafted song.
