Coldplay Reschedules Wembley Shows Due to Tube Strike

Coldplay has rescheduled its final two London performances on the ‘Music of the Spheres’ World Tour due to a planned Tube strike. The band explained that with the London Underground unavailable, it would be impossible to transport 82,000 fans to and from Wembley Stadium. As a result, no event license could be granted for the planned shows on September 7 and 8. The Sunday, September 7 show will now be held on Saturday, September 6, while the Monday, September 8 performance has been moved to Friday, September 12. All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, but fans who cannot attend can receive a full refund by contacting their point of purchase before 12:00 BST on Tuesday, September 2. Despite the changes, Coldplay will still perform 10 nights at Wembley, surpassing the previous record of 8 shows set by Take That and Taylor Swift. This move comes after the RMT union announced a seven-day strike starting September 5, citing issues related to pay, hours, shift management, and worker fatigue.
