Wet Leg to Headline Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2026 Celebrations

Wet Leg, the indie rock band from the Isle of Wight, has been announced as the headline act for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations this year. The band, who rose to fame with songs like ‘Chaise Longue’ and ‘Catch These Fists’, will perform at the iconic Concert in the Gardens, marking their first time at the event. Their performance will be a major highlight as fireworks erupt from Edinburgh Castle at midnight, ushering in the New Year. Joining them on stage will be Scottish acts Hamish Hawk and Lucia & The Best Boys, with comedian Susie McCabe hosting the event. The four-day celebration, starting on 29 December with a torchlight procession, will also feature the Night Afore Concert and performances by traditional ceilidh bands. This year’s event is especially significant after last year’s Hogmanay was canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations are renowned worldwide, and local leaders are confident that this year’s concert will be an unforgettable party to welcome 2026.
