Fans attending Coldplay’s concerts in Hull later this month may find themselves on the band’s viral kiss cam, which became famous after a notable incident in the US. The band’s chairman of rugby team Hull Kingston Rovers, Dr Paul Sewell, confirmed that the kiss cam, which recently went viral during a concert in Boston, will be featured at the band’s UK shows. This came after a viral video of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s chief people officer, Kristin Cabot, caught in an awkward embrace during the concert. The pair, who were shown on the big screen, quickly reacted in embarrassment, with Byron ducking out of view and Cabot hiding her face. Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, jokingly commented, ‘Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.’ Both Byron and Cabot resigned from their roles shortly after the video went viral. Coldplay’s UK tour will start at Hull’s Craven Park stadium on August 18 and 19, before moving to London’s Wembley Stadium, which will be powered entirely by solar, wind, and kinetic energy.
