DJ Maphorisa addresses fans after Scorpion Kings Live tickets sell out at FNB Stadium

Tickets for the upcoming Scorpion Kings Live concert at FNB Stadium on 19 September 2026 sold out almost immediately after going live on 5 May 2026, leaving thousands of fans disappointed. DJ Maphorisa, one half of the amapiano duo alongside Kabza De Small, addressed fans via Instagram and TikTok Live, revealing that nearly 500,000 people queued online to secure their tickets. He thanked supporters for their enthusiasm and explained that a strategy was in place to accommodate fans whose paydays fall on the 15th and 25th of each month. DJ Maphorisa offered fans two options: either add a second concert date or release 40% of the remaining tickets. After fan discussion during the live session, it was decided that the ticketing link would reopen at 5:00 pm for the remaining 40% of tickets. Fans are still pushing for a second date, which will only be confirmed once all tickets have sold out. Following last year’s landmark show at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the Scorpion Kings aim to fill FNB Stadium, which can hold up to 80,000 fans. Despite some complaints from the previous concert, the excitement remains high, especially after performances featuring their top hits and international artist Davido.
