Genesis Owusu to Tour Australia with ‘Redstar Wu and The Worldwide Scourge’ Album
Ghanaian-Australian rapper Genesis Owusu is set to tour across Australia in May, bringing his energetic live performance to fans nationwide. The 27-year-old artist will perform tracks from his upcoming third album, ‘Redstar Wu and The Worldwide Scourge’, which is slated for release on 15 May. The tour kicks off in Newcastle on 14 May, followed by a release celebration in his hometown of Canberra on 15 May. Owusu will then perform in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth at the Ice Cream Factory on 26 May. Known for blending concert and performance art, Owusu has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most captivating live artists. He first gained international recognition with his 2021 debut album ‘Smiling with No Teeth’, which topped Rolling Stone Australia’s list of the 100 Best Australian Albums of the 2020s So Far. Owusu has also made waves overseas, appearing on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ and performing at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Primavera Sound, Austin City Limits, Mad Cool, and Boston Calling. Early ticket access is available to Frontier Members from Friday at 12pm, with public sales starting 23 March at 12pm.
