Katseye Member Manon Bannerman Temporarily Steps Back for Health and Wellbeing

Manon Bannerman, 23-year-old member of the global girl group Katseye, has announced a temporary hiatus to focus on her health and wellbeing. Bannerman reassured fans that she is healthy and taking time to care for herself, emphasizing that sometimes life unfolds in ways beyond one’s control. The decision followed discussions among the six-member group, which also includes Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung. Despite Bannerman’s absence, Katseye will continue their scheduled performances and remain committed to their fans. The announcement comes shortly after the group performed at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where they were nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song ‘Gabriela.’ Formed in 2023 during the reality series ‘The Debut: Dream Academy,’ Katseye has released several singles and two EPs, ‘SIS (Soft is Strong)’ and ‘Beautiful Chaos.’ The group has openly discussed the pressures of rapid global fame, including receiving thousands of online threats. Bannerman and her bandmates have highlighted the mental strain caused by such online harassment, which they describe as intimidating and distressing. No timeline has been provided for her return, but the group and fans continue to express their support and anticipation for her comeback.
