iFani revealed that he stepped away from his career around 2015 due to financial struggles and a personal journey of self-discovery. During this time, he chose to distance himself from both fame and income, which ultimately led to him living on the streets of Gqeberha without stable shelter or food. He is now preparing to release a new album under Asanda Empires, along with a remix of “Shake” featuring several collaborators. The project will chronicle his struggles and growth over the past decade.
