Midge Ure Cancels Tour Dates for Urgent Health Treatment

Midge Ure, the Scottish singer famous for his work with Ultravox and Visage, has been forced to cancel several upcoming tour dates due to a health issue that requires ‘urgent’ treatment. The 71-year-old artist, who also co-organized the iconic Live Aid event alongside Sir Bob Geldof, will still perform through August but will take a break starting in September. He explained on social media that a recent routine check-up revealed a health problem that needs immediate attention and recovery time. Ure expressed his regret over the cancellation of his shows in Australia and Europe, emphasizing his commitment to reschedule these events in the future. Fans, many of whom travel long distances to attend his performances, were reassured that he doesn’t take their support for granted. Despite the health setback, Ure plans to continue with his performances for the remainder of the month and looks forward to returning to the stage soon.
