Morgan Wallen and Team Decline to Submit ‘I’m the Problem’ for 2026 Grammy Awards

Morgan Wallen, one of the most popular country artists globally, and his team have confirmed they will not submit Wallen or any songs from his chart-topping album ‘I’m the Problem’ for consideration at the 68th Grammy Awards scheduled for February 2026. Despite the album’s massive success, topping the Billboard 200 chart for 11 weeks and producing multiple number one hits on various charts, Wallen has decided against seeking Grammy nominations. This decision extends to all 37 tracks on the album and any categories, including best country solo performance. However, other songwriters who contributed to the album are still allowed to submit their works for Grammy consideration. Historically, Wallen has faced challenges with award recognition, particularly following controversies including a racial slur incident and COVID-19 protocol breaches, which have affected his standing with industry establishments. Notably, Wallen has never been nominated for any of his solo albums and has received only a single Grammy nomination for a collaboration with Post Malone. This move aligns with previous artists like The Weeknd and Drake who have also opted out of Grammy submissions due to perceived underappreciation by the organization. The Grammy first-round voting will occur from October 3 to 15, with nominations announced on November 7.
