Robbie Williams Announces Collaborations on New Album ‘Britpop’, Including Track with Gary Barlow

Robbie Williams is set to release his first album of original music in almost a decade, titled ‘Britpop’. The album includes collaborations with various artists, such as Gary Barlow, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Chris Martin of Coldplay, and Gaz Coombes of Supergrass. The singer confirmed that the album’s standout track is a song called ‘Morrissey,’ inspired by the famous singer and former frontman of The Smiths, in which Williams explores obsession and admiration from the perspective of a fan. He also revealed another track, ‘Human,’ about the rise of artificial intelligence and its potential impact on human jobs. Williams has stated that ‘Britpop’ is the type of album he wished to have released after leaving Take That in the mid-90s, when Britpop was at its peak. To promote the album, Williams will perform his ‘smallest-ever ticketed gig’ in Camden, where he will showcase both his debut album ‘Life Thru A Lens’ and ‘Britpop’. The album is set to drop on October 10, 2025, following his current European tour. Williams also discussed his work in arts education and his desire to create more opportunities for those pursuing entertainment careers.
